Four Part Series: Sundays 2:30-4 PM, October 7, 14, 21,28
Teens “fall into health” each Sunday this October!  Combine the benefits of “clean” nutrition & yoga/mindfulness in a fun community environment. Molly O’Neil of mPowering Health will conduct peer group health coaching & make energizing recipes that help balance mood, increase energy and fuel your body. Jen Buettner of JB Mindful will be introducing the benefits of yoga by breaking down the practice and basic poses. She will be conducting yoga flow classes that empower the group to be able to practice on their own or encourage the practice within the community.
This group is for 13-16 year-old girls who are interested in learning more about living a healthy life and sharing thoughts & ideas with each other in a safe & non-judgmental environment. Each week will incorporate a different theme and combine 45 minutes of yoga with 45 minutes of nutrition/wellness.  Includes  take home fun samples, and handouts.

*Please notify us of any food allergies prior to class.

Molly O’Neil is a certified health coach through Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She is passionate about wellness and helping others find better overall health. Her approach is to educate and empower others to live a healthy lifestyle by adding in healthier foods and life long habits rather than restriction or extreme dieting.

Jen Buettner RYT, RN, BSN is a Certified Yoga Teacher and Registered Nurse. She is passionate about yoga. She finds it to be an invaluable tool to alleviate stress, face life challenges by shifting perspective, and to live in a positive way. She began her journey after her decision to combine her experiences in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Pediatric Nursing, and her daily yoga and mindful practices. Yoga helped her balance taking care of others and herself, while creating a mindful, healthy approach to life.  She hopes to share with others the practice of yoga by linking breath and movement to decrease stress and anxiety, and enhance one’s own mindful approach to wellness.

*Gorton Community Center is proud to offer this program as part of GO Lake Forest, a new movement promoting healthy living and an active lifestyle.
